What Makes an Intensive… Intense (In the Best Way)?

  • Only 4 riders per session—so you’re not lost in the crowd.

  • Private sessions each morning, tailored to your horse, your journey, your next step.

  • Afternoons are free form—ride, watch, rest, reflect. Revisit the morning’s breakthroughs, or explore new territory with real-time support.

  • No auditors. No distractions. Just horses, riders, and honest work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the closest place to stay?

We recommend the Hillbrook Inn, just 12 minutes from Sycamore Seed Farm! For other options, look for hotels in Charles Town and Ranson, WV for options within 25 minutes of the farm.

FAQ image

Is stall cleaning included?

We provide a stall, sawdust, water, and a pitchfork/muck tub! It is your responsibility to clean your stall throughout the weekend as well as providing feed, hay, and water buckets for your horse.

What happens if the weather is bad?

The show must go on! But, we are in luck! The stall we provide you is in our well sheltered main barn, and everything we do in our clinic will be conducted in the safety of our indoor arena.

FAQ image

Will my horse get turnout?

We do not provide turnout during the clinic, but these clinics tend to be so mentally stimulating for the horses that we have never had an issue with them being stalled!

FAQ image

What if my horse has never been off the property?

Don’t worry! We will help you get your horse settled in and give you tools to deal with unexpected behaviors should they arise!

FAQ image

Will someone check on my horse at night?

Yes! We do night check every night and are happy to check on your horse as well as top off hay and water if you would like us to.

When should I arrive?

Check in is between 3-5pm on Thursday (the day before we start), but if you need to come outside of those hours, just let us know and we will absolutely be able to accommodate!

What if I need help with my horse but I'm not afraid to ride?

This clinic is absolutely for you! We will spend much of the clinic discussing anxiety in horses and giving you the tools to help them through it.

What if I don’t/am not ready to ride my horse?

This clinic is still for you! Our group sessions are conducted on the ground, and you get to choose what you want to work on in your semi-private lessons.
